Tariff & Terms
Rates are quoted per room per night based on the number of people occupying a room. All rates include English breakfast and VAT. No refund will be given for meals booked / included but not taken.
‘Short Break’ rates are based on two people sharing a room and also include a three course, 2AA Rosette dinner. You must stay for at least two nights and have dinner on at least two evenings.
A minimum stay of two nights is required at weekends from April to September and at Easter if it falls in March.
Room rates are quoted at time of booking; we cannot amend the rate or terms once the booking has been confirmed.
Restrictions may apply at certain times or on certain rates. Special rates and offers are subject to availability. We reserve the right to amend prices, facilities, offers and services.
Our Dining Room is open Tuesday to Saturday inclusive (also Sundays at Easter and Bank Holiday weekends). Dinner service starts at 7.00pm with last orders at 8.30pm
Free parking is available for all guests within the hotel grounds. All vehicles are parked at owner’s risk.
Any damage caused by an individual or their guest(s) must be paid for in full and we reserve the right to charge the card given to guarantee the booking.
Arrival & Departure
You are welcome to arrive between 4pm and 10.30pm. If you plan to arrive early to drop off your car and leave your luggage, please let us know so we can arrange a mutually convenient time when we will be here to welcome you. On departure your room must be vacated by 11am unless you have pre-booked a late checkout (up to 12.30pm, charge £25 per room, subject to availability)
Food and Drink
Only food and drink purchased from the hotel may be consumed on the premises (excluding baby food).
Improvements and Maintenance
From time to time improvements and essential maintenance / servicing may be necessary during your visit. We always do our best to keep any noise disturbance or other inconvenience to a minimum and if major work is taking place we will let you know in advance
Accounts must be settled in full on departure. We accept cash, Visa & MasterCard debit and credit cards, American Express, Diners Card, JCB. We do not accept payment by personal or company cheque.
In accordance with The Smoke-free (Premises and Enforcement) Regulations 2006, the whole hotel is non-smoking. All rooms are equipped with smoke detectors. Should smoking be evident in a guest room, we reserve the right to add an additional ‘deep clean’ charge of £95. Where the room is unsuitable to be re-let to the following guest, we reserve the right to charge for any losses incurred. There are designated smoking areas in the grounds which are the only places where smoking is permitted.
Deposits, Reservations and Cancellations
Credit / debit card details are required to guarantee all bookings. If you cancel or transfer your booking within 48 hours of arrival (72 hours plus for bookings of 3 days or more), the first night will be charged if we are unable to re-let the room and we reserve the right to charge additional nights if we are unable to secure an equivalent alternative booking. For stays of 5 nights or more, and for multiple room bookings, alternative cancellation terms apply which will be confirmed at time of booking.
For pre-paid (advance purchase) rates, the full amount of the stay will be charged to the credit/debit card used to make the booking at the time the reservation is made. This is non-refundable and non-transferable should you subsequently have to cancel or amend your booking. We strongly advise you take out appropriate cancellation insurance to cover such an event.
All cancellations and/or any changes to your reservation must be made in the first instance by telephone, then confirmed in writing (by post or email). If your booking has been made through a third party website it must be cancelled via the same website and not directly with ourselves. If your reservation is made within 24 hours of your arrival, you will automatically be in the cancellation period. No refunds will be given for failing to take up any component included in the price of your stay. Your room rate will be confirmed at time of booking and we cannot change the rate or terms once the booking has been confirmed. We will forward written confirmation of your booking by post or e-mail, which you should check and advise us immediately should any details be incorrect. If, due to circumstances beyond our control, we are forced to cancel your stay, we will refund your deposit in full and we will make every effort to find alternative accommodation for you. We cannot however, be held responsible for any costs incurred by you as a result.
Children – when sharing with two adults
Children under the age of 3 sleeping in a cot: £5 per night (no charge if providing your own cot and bedding)
3 – 8 years, on fold away beds £15 per child per night
9 – 14 years, on fold away beds, £20 per child per night.
Fold away (z-beds) beds are not suitable for adults or children over the age of 14
Children may join their parents in the Dining Room however should they cause disturbance to other guests, we will ask you to take them out.
A simple supper e.g. pasta with fresh tomato sauce, grilled chicken breast and vegetables is available in The Conservatory, by prior arrangement, between 5.30pm and 6.30pm
